  3. Hekko Virtual CD creates a virtual cdrom drive on your
  4. Windows PC.  This allows you to make images of your favorite
  5. CR-Roms and use them without inserting a CD into a
  6. CD-Rom drive.  This not only improves the speed at which
  7. you can access the data on the disk, but also stops the
  8. really annoying disk switching that is required every time
  9. you run a game.

  13. copies of software products.

  16. Troubleshooting
  17. ---------------
  18. In the case that a software application does not function, try the following:
  19.  
  20. 1. Make sure that the application was installed from the image and not the CD.
  21.    This is because some applications will only look in the drive where it was
  22.    installed from for the original CD.  Thus, even though the image of the
  23.    CD is in the Hekko Virtual Drive, the program still searches the actual
  24.    drive for the CD.

  26. 2. Make sure that the HekkoScan option was selected when making the image.
  27.    When HekkoScan is enabled, the size of the resulting image is larger
  28.    and the scan time is much longer (up to 14 hours or more for some CDs).
  29.  
  30. 3. Inserting an Image needs to be done via the Hekko UI which is accessible
  31.    from the HVD tray icon (lower left corner of screen).  This icon may hide
  32.    some times on windows XP and clicking the '<' button will show it.

  60. 1. Eject Functionality does not affect shell
  61. 2. Autoplay does not detect new CD and manually selecting Autoplay
  62.    does not work.
  63. 4. CD Icon does not appear in Explorer.
  64. 5. Making an image from a Hekko Drive (not sure why anyone would
  65.    want to do this) reports a huge drive.
  66. 6. Insert dialog needs to be centered
  67. 7. CD is not in drive after reboot
